Eyelure Magnetic Eyelash Review

do magnet eyelashes work

I was sent a sample of the Eyelure Faux Mink Volume & Wispy Lash System to review. Each kit includes a pair of eyelashes with small magnetic strips and specialty adhesive magnetic eyeliner.

The idea of an easier false eyelash sounded promising, and magnet eyelashes seem to be trending. Could these be magic lashes?

How to apply the Eyelure Magnetic Eyelashes

  1. Place the lashes to your eye to ensure they fit. If not, simply trim them down for a comfortable fit.
  2. Apply the magnetic eyeliner that comes with the lashes as you would apply your eyeliner to the lash line.
  3. Allow magnetic liner to dry.
  4. Apply the lashes.

The magnetic eyeliner is easy to apply and easy to clean up an error. It takes about one minute for the eyeliner to fully dry.

The brand advertises a 5 minute application, but sadly, it takes a lot more than 5 minutes. The eyelashes, which have small magnetic strips on the band, should be drawn to the liner and stay in place. However, they did not for me.

My thoughts & review

After seeing magnetic eyelashes all over social media, I was really stoked to try these. However, I ended up spending more time trying to get the lashes on properly than I ever have with regular false lashes. I had to re-apply the special magentic liner multiple times because every time the lash pops up, it removes some of the product. I literally spent 20 minutes trying to get these in the right position with both ends attached. When one end would attach, the other would pop up.

When they were finally on and I blinked my eyes they popped off on the inner part of my eye. I fixed them several times and they continued to separate from the liner every time my eyes moved.

The false eyelashes would not lay close to my natural lash line. I could tell the lashes appeared too high. I’m not sure if other’s would notice, but I could. Even with the magnetic eyeliner right at my lash line, they would not attach where I wanted them.

You can see the inner eye lifting up just from blinking.

I gave these a 2 star review because even after I gave up on the lashes and removed them, I wore the liner all day. The eyeliner remained perfect even when I had a small break down of tears. The Eyelure Volume Lashes have a nice length and felt soft. You could tell they were definitely not a super cheap lash. The eyelashes are actually really nice, just did not prove to be the holy grail of magnetic eyelashes.

I believe the product could be amazing with a stronger magnetic liner or possibly a full magnet on the lashes. The included eyeliner just cant properly hold the weight.

Your thoughts?

Do you feel like these lashes would work for you or are you currently using them successfully?

  1. Thank you so much for this! I have been intrigued by the idea, but I had a bad issue with the full magnetic ones a couple of years ago. I could never get them to snap together on my lashes. Sounds like another great concept that isn’t quite as easy as it looks.
